ROLE: Innovation & Insights Manager

REPORTS TO: Director, Marketing

LOCATION: Burnaby, BC

We're looking for an Innovation & Insights Manager to join the Earth’s Own Marketing Team at our head office in Burnaby. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future growth of the brand by leading our consumer insights strategy and building a robust long-term innovation pipeline. Through deep consumer understanding, market intelligence, and strategic thinking, you'll identify unmet needs, uncover white space opportunities, and bring impactful innovation to life.

The Innovation & Insights Manager leads Earth’s Own consumer insights and innovation agenda, transforming consumer understanding, market trends, emerging technologies, and strategic opportunities into new products, portfolio renovations, and long-term growth initiatives that fuel the future of the brand. Leveraging modern insights tools, AI-enabled trend monitoring, and consumer intelligence, this role helps identify future growth platforms and unlock whitespace opportunities ahead of the market.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams through complex initiatives. 
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled insights tools, trend-monitoring platforms, and market intelligence to identify emerging consumer needs, innovation opportunities, and business implications.
• Exceptional analytical abilities, with a talent for translating data into actionable business insights and recommendations. 
• Highly organized and capable of effectively managing multiple priorities. 
• Solutions oriented with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. 
• Skilled at identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing white space opportunities. 
• Deep understanding of consumer insights, innovation processes, and stage gate methodologies. 
• Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation capabilities. 
• Experience leveraging Nielsen, Homescan, and other market intelligence tools. 
• Ability to identify growth opportunities and assess business implications.

Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline. 
• 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably within CPG. 
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives & managing agency partners. 
• Experience developing and launching new products from concept through commercialization.

Things you will do…

• Own and evolve Earth's Own three-year innovation pipeline while prioritizing opportunities based on growth potential, strategic fit, consumer need + resource requirements 
• Identify emerging consumer trends, market opportunities, and whitespace areas for future growth. 
• Lead innovation and renovation initiatives from concept development through to commercialization. 
• Partner cross-functionally to deliver new products and portfolio improvements that drive growth. 
• Identify opportunities to improve margin performance while maintaining a best-in-class consumer experience. 
• Analyze research, market performance, consumer trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
