Position Overview:

Location: Edmonton | Monday–Friday (5x2) | Full-Time, Permanent

This is a high impact, high energy, self driven sales role focused on growing after market products and services with our customers who are owner-operators and growing contractors in the Edmonton region and surrounding areas. Using a consultative selling approach, on the phone, online, and on the job site, you’ll expand market share, win back lapsed accounts, and elevate the customer experience for owner operators and growing contractors. You’ll drive rebuild wins, labour CVA agreements, components and undercarriage growth, and overall territory expansion. This role offers significant earning potential for those that meet and exceed targets!

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

  • Grow territory through proactive prospecting and account development with our owner-operator and growing contractors in the Edmonton region. Build strong relationships with existing, new, and lapsed customers to achieve annual sales and profitability targets. Convert cash and prospect accounts into loyal, repeat and growing customers.
  • Engage customers consultatively through phone (majority), virtual, and job‑site interactions to understand their work, equipment, and business challenges. Prepare timely, accurate parts and service quotes with a focus on rebuilds, labour CVA agreements, components, and undercarriage solutions. Follow opportunities through to won/lost outcomes.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management with accurate account details, equipment population, activities, and opportunities documented in Saleslink. Provide reliable forecasting and maintain a healthy, transparent funnel.
  • Utilize and Consult on Digital tools and offerings: This includes parts.cat.com, Cat Central Ap, VisionLink etc. Interact with and help customers integrate digital solutions into their day to day.

  • Cultivates Innovation: Bring fresh thinking, collaborate broadly, and support new or improved ways to enhance the customer experience. Continuously evolve with the business and the industry.
  • Drives Results: Demonstrate urgency, discipline, and accountability in meeting revenue and territory growth objectives. Execute plans that consistently deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Courage: Communicate openly and constructively. Tackle challenges head‑on and advocate for the right solution to support customer success and Finning standards.

Specific Skills:

  • Strong sales orientation with the drive and grit to prospect consistently.
  • Excellent phone communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions and simplify solutions.
  • Comfortable and confident on construction job sites; speaks the language of the industry and builds credibility quickly.
  • Effective in consultative discovery, objection handling, and value‑based selling.
  • Strong computer skills; able to learn and navigate CRM (Saleslink), digital quoting tools, and E‑commerce platforms.
  • Organized, professional, and capable of managing a large, active territory.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Parts Ticket not required but considered an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude or equipment‑related understanding is nice to have.
  • Previous sales experience with proven success in meeting or exceeding targets is an asset
  • Existing relationships within the construction industry are valued.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Edmonton region and surrounding areas
