Instructor, Interpreter Translator Program

Additional key responsibilities of the position include:

• Delivering lessons using a variety of instructional strategies; including face-to-face, blended, and/or online;

• Ensuring instruction meets the professional standards of the College;

Researching, reviewing and recommending resource materials to implement or enhance the program or courses;

• Providing academic guidance, assessment, and support to learners, including monitoring progress and maintaining accurate academic records;

• Contributing to ongoing program development, quality assurance, student recruitment, and continuous professional learning.

The role requires advanced English comprehension and writing skills, an understanding of English medical terminology, and the ability to support and manage student practicums.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position are normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, along with one (1) year of related teaching or instructional experience. A Certificate in Adult Education, experience teaching and supervising adult learners, and work experience in roles involving bilingual communication and complex multicultural environments are considered assets.
