ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist and collaborate directly with Project Manager to execute highly creative, concept-driven interior design projects
• Ability to handle interior design projects from start to finish
• Prepare renderings and presentation material for client meetings
• Prepare complete and detailed construction drawing packages
• Source materials, finishes, fixtures and furniture
• Assist with project coordination and contract administration

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• University Degree or Diploma in Interior Design
• Minimum 3 years professional experience
• Proven ability to balance design creativity with client requirements
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in preparing construction drawings and assist with specifications
• Excellent understanding of current building codes, building construction, details and building science
• Highly organized and detail oriented; proven track record of meeting project timelines
• Strong conceptual, graphic & design skills
• Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills
• Critical thinking, effective problem solving and decision-making skills
• Team player, adaptable and has a positive attitude towards learning
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as a team
• Must have a positive attitude and be enthusiastic about developing his or her interior design career
• Institutional experience in the healthcare, justice, research and sport facility areas of practice
