We are looking to expand our Yukon based archaeological team with a full-time intermediate archaeologist based out of the Whitehorse office. The role will be largely field based during the field season and will focus on projects throughout Yukon but may extend into BC as well. We are looking for an individual who can hold Yukon Class 2 Archaeology Sites Regulations (ASR) permits or will meet eligibility requirements to hold Yukon permits within one field season.

At least one of the below is required.
A master’s degree focusing on Yukon or boreal/subarctic archaeology topics, and/or
An archaeology / anthropology bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising archaeological fieldwork, preferably in Yukon or boreal/subarctic, including inventory, site assessment, and excavation experience, and/or
Has held at least 1 Yukon ASR permit to completion and/ or is qualified (or is in the process of being qualified) as a BC field director in the boreal/subarctic or interior culture areas
Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to walk 4-10 miles daily over rough terrain and capability to life up to 50 lbs. When conducting non-local fieldwork, paid travel time and per diem, and single occupancy hotel rooms are provided. Stantec fleet or rental cars are often provided. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
