Intermediate to senior project manager, BI program

Overview:

• The project of approximately $7M is part of a BI program under recovery. A project manager is already in place to lead the recovery, and the mandate seeks a second project manager, closer to an execution-focused project lead, who will follow various initiatives directly within IT teams. The role requires challenging an answer, a timeline, or a contribution, and asking difficult questions when follow-up calls for it. The target level is intermediate to senior, with someone quickly operational, as the mandate is highly visible. AI or data specialization is not required, but interest in this content is expected.
  
  


• Target candidate: a project manager or project lead with more than 6 years of experience, PMP, MGP, or ACP certified, who has followed the day-to-day execution of IT projects with the teams, including budget and reporting, ideally in a financial context. Project recovery experience and exposure to data, BI, or AI projects set this profile apart from a more executive management profile.
  
  

Requirements

Required:

• Execution follow-up of IT projects with the teams (deliverables, timelines, contributions, issues and risks)
  
  


• Budget responsibility and reporting to the sponsor or decision-making bodies
  
  


• Software integration and platform change project
  
  


• Risk management context and/or financial institution
  
  


• PMP, MGP, or ACP certification
  
  


• More than 6 years of relevant project management experience in large-scale contexts
  
  

Preferred:

• Data and Analytics (BI) projects or programs
  
  


• Mandates involving AI for predictive and analytical purposes
  
  


• Recovery or takeover of a troubled project
  
  


• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  
  


• Specific skills (complex contexts, communication, political acumen, collaborative culture, planning and coordination, leadership and initiative)
  
  

Asset:

• Knowledge of Desjardins and the GPAP ecosystem (major asset)
  
  


• Master's degree or graduate diploma in project management
