Janitor

About the position: Working 7.5-hour shift, some overtime may be required. This position is responsible for the provision of general janitorial duties. The main goal is to ensure that our buildings meet Health & Safety Standards and Occupational Safety Standards.

Duties:
• Ensure Occupational Health & Safety Standards are met;
• Will perform and maintain janitorial services inside and outside of the buildings/facilities.
• Maintain sanitation of the buildings and grounds;
• Order supplies and keep track on inventory control;
• Maintain the clinic/facility in an appropriate and cost-effective manner;
• Must be able to follow a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Seasonal check list;
• Ensuring Water Quality Data Sheet Presence/Absence Testing reports completed each workday as per the log report.

Qualifications:
• Minimum Grade 10; Pervious Janitorial experience is an asset;
Certification in WHMIS and First Aide & CPR is an asset (or will to obtain);
• Willing to learn new skills and take further training as required;
• Must be able to work independently, self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills;
• Basic Computer Skills;
• Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
• Knowledge of Woodland Cree Language, Culture and Traditional an asset;
• Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset;
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
