Java Developer

Java Developer (8+ years of experience).

As part of the GPAP Modernization Program, the Group Insurance Data Hub (CDAC) implementation project was launched to address the operational analytics needs of the business units.

• This project aims to integrate data from several legacy systems and the new group insurance system into a cloud environment supported by the Movement Data Platform, based on Azure technologies, and make it available through a data hub using Power BI.
  


• The project is being delivered iteratively, delivering value to users with each iteration. The first deployment (Delivery 1) is planned for 2026. Support for the solution will be provided by the project team until the handover to an operations team at the end of Delivery 2.
  


• We are looking for a Senior Developer to support the project until the handover to the operations team in July 2027. This person will be primarily involved in providing production support for the solution, while also contributing to the development efforts for the delivery.
  


• Provide technical support to operations following production deployments and follow up on issues with project managers.
  


• Perform solution monitoring activities; Take charge of resolving solution anomalies, in collaboration with other members of the project team.
  


• Analyze system components, functional and non-functional specifications, change requests, and any technical issues encountered.
  


• Analyze and develop ETL processes; Configuration of data ingestion pipelines from source systems to the appropriate data lakes; Participation in data enhancement and configuration of the data warehouse (dimension/fact configuration) according to the established data model; Participation in data loading into tables; Slicing and documentation of processes; Data profiling (tools, approaches); Performing unit testing; Participating in production deployments; Ensuring and performing updates to various databases and recommending any improvements aimed at optimizing their quality and efficiency.

• Experience in data projects; Knowledge of Azure data storage environments (DataStorage, DataLake, Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics); Knowledge of Power BI (Desktop, services and components, gateways, etc.);
  


• Knowledge of architectural patterns/principles: Object-Oriented, Cloud (IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, SaaS, iPaaS), Domain-Driven Design (DDD) (an asset), Application Resilience, and Event-Driven; Asset: Knowledge of security principles/protocols such as SSO, Auth0, SAML, OpenID, JWT, OAuth2, and ABAC/RBAC.
