Your Opportunity

The Canada West Energy and Resources team has an exciting opportunity for a junior Pipeline Drafter to join our established and supportive team.  As a Pipeline Drafter, you will work with support and close guidance on tasks for projects in a team environment on a variety of projects. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment and learn new skills.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Apply diversified knowledge of design principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields


• Maintain drafting processes and procedures to follow and apply commonly used drafting concepts, practices, procedures and policies within the resource industry


• Assist more experienced draftspersons on complex projects


• Set up and preparation of engineering drawing plans, sections, profiles and details in compliance with Client’s CAD standards and protocols


• Preform self checks on produced work


• Produce high quality drawings and drawing sets in the appropriate software


• Assist the design team in drawing development


• Creating and revising Bills of Materials (BOMs)


• Working with and creating scalable CAD drawings
  
   

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Strong communication skills for written and verbal interactions


• Ability to proactively identify and solve problems


• Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, or layouts from sketches


• Operate CAD equipment efficiently


• Check and verify drawings to ensure they conform to Spec.


• Must be organized and be able to complete tasks within timeframe provided

Education and Experience

• Technical degree/diploma/certificate from accredited design or drafting post secondary program. 


• Minimum of 0-1 years of experience.
