Manager, Commercial Analytics & Insights

Panago is looking for a commercially minded analytics professional to turn sales, promotion, customer, digital, and media data into clear decisions. You’ll combine strong analytical skills, curiosity, and business judgment with the ability to build AI-enabled workflows that make analysis faster, more dependable, and repeatable.

This is a hands-on opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, collaborate with experienced leaders, and see your recommendations influence a Canadian consumer brand.

The opportunity

You will bring together information from diverse sources, identify patterns and opportunities, and explain what they mean for the business. Your work will include evaluating performance, developing reports, conducting research, and helping teams answer important commercial questions.

Your initial focus will be pricing, promotions, and commercial performance, with customer and media analysis expanding through a phased work plan.

You will also improve how recurring analysis gets done, creating reliable processes that save time and make insights easier to access.

This role is based in Abbotsford and requires regular in-person collaboration with our team, along with periodic store visits. It is a hands-on individual contributor position with responsibility for leading analytical work.

What you’ll do

• Analyze sales, product, pricing, customer, and marketing performance to identify useful insights and opportunities.


• Assess the results of business initiatives and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.


• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical models that help teams understand performance.


• Conduct market and competitor research, bringing relevant findings into business discussions.


• Use AI and automation to improve research, analysis, and reporting while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.


• Build and maintain workflows that extract, clean, reconcile, and report data using SQL, code, and automation, with version control and documented checks.


• Connect digital measurement, including GA4, campaign tracking, and search visibility, to actual sales, working with our marketing and search specialists.


• Work with colleagues to clarify business questions, validate information, and communicate findings.


• Present complex information clearly, with practical recommendations and an honest assessment of limitations.


• Spot data gaps and improvement opportunities without waiting to be asked, propose practical fixes, and see them through.


• Manage competing priorities and follow analytical work through to a useful business outcome.

What you bring

• Typically five or more years of experience in commercial, business, pricing, customer, or marketing analytics.


• Strong business judgment and an understanding of how pricing, customer behaviour, costs, and marketing activity affect performance.


• Advanced Excel skills (including Power Query and auditable models), strong SQL capability, and experience with a business intelligence platform such as Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable tool.


• Practical programming skills in Python or a comparable language, including pulling data through APIs.


• Working proficiency with Git and GitHub or an equivalent platform: versioning your code, documenting changes, and adapting existing repositories.


• Demonstrated experience using AI tools and building repeatable workflows that improve the speed and quality of your work.


• Practical experience with GA4 and digital measurement, including conversion tracking QA and reconciliation with transaction data.


• A working understanding of SEO, local search, and AI search visibility, enough to read Search Console data and question the metrics.


• The ability to work with imperfect data, check your assumptions, and produce accurate, dependable analysis.


• Clear communication skills and confidence discussing your findings with both technical and non-technical colleagues.


• Initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to move from an open-ended question to a useful recommendation.


• A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in restaurants, retail, consumer products, e-commerce, or another multi-location business would be an asset. BigQuery or Google Tag Manager experience is a plus.

You don’t need experience in every industry or tool listed. We’re interested in candidates who bring strong analytical fundamentals, hands-on building skills, demonstrated results, and the ability to learn.

The annual base salary range is $100,000–$110,000 CAD plus benefits, with the starting salary determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

Additional Details

This position is hybrid with three days on site and two days remote, our head office is located in Abbotsford. We are open to considering candidates outside the area and discussing flexible arrangements based on location and the needs of the role.
