What this role is all about: 


The Manager, Wealth and Planning will lead and oversee a team of wealth administrators and advisory support staff. This role is responsible for advisory and client satisfaction, as well as supporting strategic initiatives aligned with the objectives of Beem Wealth and Planning. 


This role is an 15-month term position. This role is open to a hybrid work arrangement in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley or Kelowna region of British Columbia. 


What you’ll do:


People and Performance Leadership 



  • Mentors and motivates a team of wealth administrators and advisory support staff, including guiding them on best practices, client relationship management, and compliance

  • Provides ongoing training and development opportunities, ensuring the team members stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and product knowledge. 

  • Regularly assess team performance and address any skill gaps or performance issues 

  • Provide guidance and expertise in complex financial planning and investment solutions for high-net-worth clients 

  • Setting and tracking performance targets for administrators and advisory support staff


Operations and Compliance 



  • Ensures that all team activities are fully compliant with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.  This includes anti-money laundering (AML), “Know your client” (KYC) requirements and other industry standards 

  • Ensure the team adoption of new technologies to enhance client interactions, reporting and portfolio management is successful  

  • Ensures that all sales and service-related processes, procedures and protocols are well documented and communicated 

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to ensure alignment with corporate objectives for individual team 


Strategy Development and Planning 



  • Execute the regional wealth management strategy in alignment with broader corporate objectives 

  • Leads and directs local business development strategies to grow our business, capture market share and broaden awareness of Beem Wealth and Planning 

  • Acts as a key line of business contact for a wide range of corporate projects, initiatives and committees 

  • Ensures effective member referral pipelines to other lines of business in order to fully optimize member value and deepen relationships 


Member Experience and Loyalty 



  • Provides direction, implements and audits member experience practices, protocols and standards of the reporting teams 

  • Responds to member concerns, complaints, issues 

  • Proactively identify potential member experience issues and help ensure timely implementation of solutions 


What you'll bring:    



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience   

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related experience, ideally gained in financial services environment, with an in-depth understanding of various asset classes (eg equities, fixed income, alternatives) and financial products like mutual funds, ETFs, derivatives, and structured products  

  • Proven expertise in portfolio and office administration

  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and the implications of decision-making at the enterprise level related to portfolio management

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships through fostering trust and collaboration

  • A commitment to innovation driven by curiosity, with a proactive approach to exploring new ideas and solutions

  • Ability to lead through volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) situations, effectively managing conflicts and business crises

  • Proven ability to attract, select, develop, and engage effective talent, supporting the organization’s succession planning  

  • Strong commitment to delivering member-centric outcomes through all business activities

  • Demonstrated ability to co-create solutions with various stakeholders to achieve business objectives 


Your Total Rewards:  



Annual salary range: $92,200 - $115,200
