Job Description - Millwright

Princeton is located at the confluence of the Similkameen and Tulameen Rivers, just one hour from the South Okanagan and three hours from the Lower Mainland. Local amenities include an 18-hole golf course, a curling rink, an indoor arena, an outdoor pool, ATV trails, mountain bike trails, and groomed nordic ski trails. The town also hosts an annual rodeo and an outdoor music festival, offering a welcoming community with plenty of opportunities to enjoy an active lifestyle.


We are seeking a Red Seal Certified Millwright to join our team!  Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be part of the maintenance team within our manufacturing facility. This is a unionized position and is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement between Interior Forest Labour Relations Association and the United Steelworkers.


KEY SKILLS:



  • Troubleshoot, analyze, diagnose, and perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery

  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings

  • Utilize knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and savings


 QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Red Seal certification with 5+ years of experience

  • Commitment to safe work guidelines, policies, and procedures

  • Strong troubleshooting experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and mechanical machinery

  • Ability to work individually with little or no supervision in a dynamic team environment

  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities

  • A problem solver with strong decision making skills

  • Previous experience with wood products manufacturing

  • Must have the ability to do shift work


WAGE:  $50.115 per hour as per the current United Steelworkers Collective Agreement.
