Our client is looking for a Licensed Maintenance Mechanic fit to join an innovative food manufacturing company with an entrepreneurial spirit, continuously growing and providing its employees with challenging yet rewarding work. Should the applicant be accepted, the Licensed Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing overall support to the production group in packaging, processing, and facilities to make sure that operations are continuous and successful. They will be performing maintenance work on plant equipment with attention to safety, ensuring that equipment and machines follow GMP in good working condition.

$41.25-$43.50/hr Base Salary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·      Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

·      Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.

·      Inspect and examine machinery and equipment, identifying irregularities and malfunctions.

·      Adjust machinery, making repairs or replacing defective parts as needed.

·      Operate machine tools such as lathes and mill machines to fabricate parts for machinery overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.

·      Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

·      Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of processing equipment, ensuring efficient repair/replacement results.

·      Optimize equipment for safety, efficiency, and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects.

·      Comply with all legislative and company policies regarding food safety, health and safety, and environmental procedures.

·      Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production and bakery equipment.

·      Improve equipment function through design improvements.

·      Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area, ensuring compliance with company health and safety standards.

·      Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

3. Requirements / Preferred Qualifications

The Maintenance Mechanic Millwright is required to have:

·      Red Seal Millwright License - Industrial Millwright 433A.

·      2-5 years' industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.

·      Proven track record working with mechanics, machine shop practices, pneumatic & hydraulic fields is required.

·      Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

·      Comfortable using computers.

·      Ability to work well within a team and independently.

·      Capable of occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

·      Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with unique daily challenges.

·      Availability for a flexible shift schedule, including day/afternoon/night shifts, Sunday to Saturday, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

·      Must possess a high school diploma or Equivalent.

·      Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (Food industry is highly preferred).

·      Must have a valid driver’s license.

·      Can complete all other duties as instructed and assigned by Leader.
