Mobile Truck & Trailer Mechanic - Red Seal (310T)

Midland Transport is currently seeking skilled and Mobile Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Toronto, ON. 
The successful candidate will hold a 310T (Red Seal) certification and have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working independently and providing on-site service to customers.

Shift: Monday- Friday – (7am-5pm)

• Travel to different locations to diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty equipment in the field.
• Complete routine maintenance and preventative service on engines, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
• Identify required parts and materials needed to complete repairs efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with drivers regarding vehicle conditions, repair requirements, and service recommendations.
• Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment in an organized and safe manner.
• Report non-conforming situations and safety concerns.
• Other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.

• Truck and Coach Technician 310T certificate (Red Seal). 
• Two or more years of relevant, hands-on experience post-certification is preferred. 
• Solid understanding of diesel engines, aftertreatment/electrical diagnostics & air brake systems; experience working on trailers is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time while working in the field.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively when required.
