Job Summary


Provide a polished front -of -house experience by welcoming guests, managing reservations, and directing seating. Maintain high hospitality standards while coordinating service flow between guests and operational teams.

Main Duties


  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, manage reservations, and coordinate seating assignments using reservation systems.
  • Monitor dining room flow and adjust table rotations and waitlists to optimize service and minimize guest wait times.
  • Supervise and support front -of -house personnel, assign duties, and provide on -the -floor guidance during service.
  • Address guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate guest needs, dietary restrictions, and timing requirements to kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Maintain and update reservation logs, seating charts, and daily shift notes; assist with billing coordination as required.


Requirements


  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent; post -secondary education or training in hospitality is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a host, maître d', or other front -of -house role preferred.
  • Familiarity with reservation and point -of -sale systems and basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills; bilingual ability (English/French) considered an asset.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure in a fast -paced environment.
