Job Description - Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

Assessment & Diagnosis: Take medical histories, perform exams, and diagnose acute and chronic conditions.
Treatment Planning: Develop evidence-based care plans, order and interpret diagnostics.
Prescribing: Prescribe medications within scope.
Referrals: Refer patients to specialists as needed.
Patient Education: Counsel patients and families on disease prevention, and self-care.
Collaboration: Work within interdisciplinary teams.
Leadership/Education: May supervise (nursing,) and provide education and program planning.
