We're currently seeking an Operations Supervisor who will report directly to the Operations Manager. This role is crucial for upholding our core pillars of Safety, Quality, and Production. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about maintaining high standards and driving operational excellence.
What You Get To Do:
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Lead the manufacturing team to meet and exceed operating and financial targets.
Implement continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Kaizen) to reduce waste, minimize production costs, and maximize quality/throughput.
Manage production commitments, budgets, and the efficient use of labor and materials.
Personnel Management & Training
Develop and coach the management team, fostering a culture of excellence, communication, and accountability.
Establish and develop the necessary technical capabilities within your team to effectively support both new project requirements and ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
Enforce compliance with all company policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations.
Health, Safety & Quality Assurance
Serve as a non-compromising champion for safety and quality.
Ensure strict compliance with all internal and external (provincial/federal) Health and Safety regulations.
Maintain a high level of quality throughout production, manage waste/scrap rates, and investigate all incidents to recommend corrective action.
Plant Reliability and Strategic Development
Supervise capital expenditure (CapEx) priorities necessary to enhance reliability, production throughput, and support planned scale-up operations.
Oversee the planning and execution phases of future capital projects related to infrastructure and equipment upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive dashboard for key Maintenance and Uptime performance indicators (KPIs).
What You Bring to the Team:
1-5 years in operations supervision, with proven experience in strong leadership/team management role within a manufacturing environment.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement data-driven decisions.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
Proficiency in maintenance and inventory management software.
Familiarity with and proven ability to enforce health and safety regulations (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act).
Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
Educational background or certifications in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Willingness to work or be on call during evenings and weekends to support 24/7 operations.

Industrial Manufacturing
PPE Required: Safety boots, eye protection, ear protection.
