Order Picker

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pull product ensuring all materials are pulled and proper paperwork completed as per company procedure


• Pack product in boxes and pack on skids for shipping purposes


• Follow protocol closely as per company policies


• Maintain proper documents for shipping purposes


• Pulling of products from yard and warehouse


• General warehouse duties including clean up


• Process wire cut orders or order pulling as required


• Prioritize cuts or pulling of product based on instructions on the pick slips


• Work on wire cutting machine adjusting controls to ensure accurate lengths are being cut


• Monitor and track inventory as per company procedures (example: Lot numbers & length)


• Inspect wire cutting machine and tools for safe using


• Other duties as required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Highly organized, with attention to detail and exceptional time management


• Good multi-tasker with the ability to work to and meet deadlines


• Reliable, ability to carry out tasks correctly while under pressure


• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, the very physical job for 8 hrs. a day


• Ability to follow instructions meticulously


• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised


• Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude who can work alone


• Ability to process orders in an organized manner


• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, 150 lbs. assisted


• Problem solver and able to deal with product issues that may occur


• Strong communication skills 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Minimum grade 12 education


• Previous order picker experience will be considered an asset


• Previous plumbing and/or electrical industry experience preferred


• Forklift Experience an asset
