Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Patient Services, the Patient Services Manager for the Radiation Therapy Department provides operational leadership in advancing clinical quality, patient safety, workflow optimization, and technical innovation within the Radiation Therapy Program. The incumbent oversees and manages multidisciplinary teams composed of direct and indirect patientcare staff and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, efficient, and patient-centered cancer services. This role supports the evaluation, implementation, and continuous improvement of emerging technologies, evidence-based practices, and integrated care models aligned with organizational and provincial priorities.
The Patient Services Manager (RT) inspires and guides staff in the delivery of person-centered care while fostering a culture of clinical excellence, continuous quality improvement, collaboration, and innovation. Accountable for patient-centric operational management in a financially responsible manner, the role works closely with leadership, internal teams, and external partners to support access to high-quality cancer care services. Responsibilities also include monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and ensuring appropriate patient care through the clinical quality framework and evidence-informed practice.
This position requires a balance of clinical expertise, leadership, quality improvement experience, and advanced technology knowledge to support the ongoing evolution and modernization of radiation therapy services at CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB).
