Job Description - People & Culture Business Partner

Look no further! my stable client is Abbottsford is seeking a Business Partner - People & Culture to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, People & Culture, this role is a crucial supporter of P&C Services provided to the staff and management of this esteemed organisation.


As a BP - People & Culture, you will create and nurture influential partnerships with location managers to ensure the success of their departmental people related plans and approaches. Your drive and ability to thoroughly understand your clients’ business objectives will be essential as you execute people -centric programs in line with our corporate culture initiatives and overall people strategy.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to organizational design, operational workforce planning and change management processes to ensure the organisation is appropriately structured and staffed to meet business needs.
  • Provides advice, guidance, and coaching to managers on employee relations issues, including but not limited to: terms and conditions for employment, performance management, investigations/complaints, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Supports projects related to policy changes, HR systems improvement, employee engagement surveys, annual performance and compensation reviews, HR analytics, etc.
  • Manages the length of service (LOS) and employee recognition programs for assigned locations (s).
  • Supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of application of policies, procedures, practices, and systems.
  • Provides employment contract and new hire paperwork to preferred candidates, ensures Payroll is aware of new hires on a timely basis and within payroll deadlines, and advances signed paperwork to Payroll for processing in a timely way.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business/Human Resources and Chartered Professional of Human Resources (CPHR) designation as asset.
  • 4 -6 years’ related and progressive generalist experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience using UKG/Ultipro HRIS is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal/external stakeholders at all levels and from diverse backgrounds in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Emotional intelligence and sound conflict resolution skills with an ability to understand broad complex organizational issues and competing interests.
  • Driven with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
