Pipelayer – 4 Positions Available

Location: North Vancouver and sites throughout the Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience

Schedule: Full-time with overtime available

Overview

Our client is hiring four experienced Pipelayers for a major project in North Vancouver and ongoing municipal civil work throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

This role is suited to experienced civil workers who can install underground utilities, work safely around heavy equipment, and help keep the crew productive.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Install sanitary, storm, and watermain systems.

  
  


• 
  

  Install underground conduits, manholes, catch basins, and related civil infrastructure.

  
  


• 
  

  Measure, cut, bevel, fit, and connect pipe.

  
  


• 
  

  Set up and operate pipe lasers and grading equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  Direct operators and labourers during pipe installation.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with bedding, backfilling, compaction, and site preparation.

  
  


• 
  

  Read civil drawings, grades, and utility plans.

  
  


• 
  

  Work safely around excavators and other heavy equipment.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Minimum 2 years of pipelaying experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience installing sewer, water, drainage, conduits, manholes, or catch basins.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to use a pipe laser and complete accurate measurements.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of heavy-equipment blind spots, signals, and safe positioning.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work outdoors.

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to travel between projects throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

  
  

Assets

• 
  

  Concrete construction experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Heavy-equipment operating experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with municipal pipe installation standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to read civil drawings and calculate grades.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of bedding, gravel, and granular materials.

  
  


• 
  

  Confined Space Entry certification.

  
  


• 
  

  Ground Disturbance Level II certification.

  
  


• 
  

  Fall Protection, WHMIS, or Rigging certification.

  
  


• 
  

  Forklift, telehandler, boom lift, or other equipment tickets.
