The Role We are currently recruiting for a Newly Qualified Private Client Solicitor based in our Sudbury office. The Sudbury office provides a full service to our individual (private) clients and business clients. Servicing the community locally, you will enjoy a wide variety of quality Private Client matters. This role will work closely with (and be supervised by) the senior private client executive based at the Sudbury office. Our Private Client team has a very proactive approach to service delivery, using Case Management systems for estate administration and Will production. Very many administrative and drafting tasks are carried out by Legal Assistants and paralegals.
The Day to Day:
To advise clients and follow their instruction in respect of Wills, LPAs and estate administration. The tasks that you will be asked to undertake will be commensurate with your experience and be under the supervision of a senior executive. You will though have wide responsibility for running cases.
Conduct initial meetings with clients, thereafter delegating as appropriate to the paralegals and Legal Assistants on our Probate Administration Team and our Wills and LPA Team. The Private Client team is forward thinking in that we have extensive legal assistant and paralegal support to make us efficient and proactive.
Having oversight of the progression of all cases and meeting with paralegals and Legal Assistants.
Attending supervision sessions with the senior executive at Sudbury.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and with other professional contacts
Working with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies and assisting in the production of marketing materials.
Attending local networking and business development events.
What experience do I need?
You will be a recently qualified Solicitor (within the last 12 months) who can demonstrate a keen interest in qualifying into Private Client. You will have undertaken at least one seat in your Training Contract within Private Client.
You should have:
Experience of drafting wills and Powers of Attorney.
A basic understanding of administering estates

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
Must be able to impart key information in a manner which is easily understood
Self-motivated, organised with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
