About the role:

Greenhills Operations produces upwards of 5.5Mt per year of high quality steelmaking coal through the processing plant. This is a unique opportunity to join directly into a full-time role in the Greenhills Processing Plant. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Processing Operator is responsible for performing a variety of duties including physical labour, equipment operation, process troubleshooting/optimization, mechanical inspections and minor repair work.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Operate fixed plant processing circuits, including coarse and fine coal recovery circuits, mechanical and evaporative dewatering operations, and clean coal loadout operations
• Run heavy equipment including haul truck, dozer, and loader
• Perform equipment maintenance
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Additional tasks include shoveling, hosing, and lifting various objects

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid class 5 driver’s license
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Previous mining experience is an asset, particularly in a processing operations scope 
• Formal process operations certification, heavy equipment operations or industrial experience is considered an asset

Hourly Wage: Starting at $42.13 per hour, with increases to $50.36 with progressive circuit experience

Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
