We have an opportunity for you. We are looking for a Project Manager to support significant projects in the defense application field at the Digital Technologies Research. The ideal candidate would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
As a Project Manager, you will help drive collaborative, multi-disciplinary revenue-generating projects and applied research initiatives through the following responsibilities, while working under the guidance of NRC’s scientific and technical authorities who have overall oversight of the project direction.
Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science is required.
Graduation in business administration or a program specializing in project management would be an asset.
Formal designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) would be considered an asset.

Secret clearance
A thorough security clearance process will be applied.
For a Secret Clearance, verification of background information over a period of 10 years is required. Individuals must have lived in Canada for a sufficient period of time to enable the security screening process.

For this position, the NRC will evaluate candidates using the following competency profile: Management Services
This position is classified as a Research Council Officer (RCO), a group that is unique to the NRC. Candidates are remunerated based on their expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. The salary scale for this group is vast, from $64,739 to $183,010 per annum, which permits for employees of all levels from new graduates to world renowned experts to be fairly compensated for their contributions.
NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position).
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
