Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Hazardous Materials team in London, ON office. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this replacement role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise and uphold our commitment to excellence.


Role Overview


This role is about more than inspections, it’s about shaping safer, healthier, and more sustainable spaces for people and communities. As a Senior Project Technologist, you’ll contribute to critical health and safety initiatives by developing hygiene documentation, preparing technical reports, and working closely with clients to meet their goals.


You’ll join a team that blends deep experience with fresh perspectives, offering mentorship, collaboration, and technical expertise every step of the way. Your Role and Action



  • Complete hazardous materials and designated substances assessments; evaluate workplace exposures

  • Interview clients and coordinate fieldwork (scope, site access, scheduling, contractors)

  • Perform site inspections and assess building systems/materials for potential hazards

  • Use monitoring equipment; collect bulk, wipe, and air samples (incl. suspect asbestos/lead/PCBs and PCM asbestos air samples)

  • Prepare clear technical reports with findings, exposure results, and practical recommendations

  • Monitor abatement/restoration for compliance and safe work practices; document results and completion

  • Contribute to business development by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities

  • Support and mentor junior staff through training and field guidance


What You’ll Bring to Pinchin


You bring a strong technical foundation, curiosity, and accountability, paired with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for clients, communities, and the environment. Collaboration, continuous learning, and respectful teamwork are values you live by.



  • Diploma/degree in Construction, Architectural or Civil Technology/Engineering (or related)

  • 0–2 years of hazardous materials experience (asbestos, mould, lead, PCBs, etc.) and familiarity with H&S/environmental legislation

  • E.T. (or related designation) considered an asset

  • Understanding of building systems (structure/envelope/HVAC/electrical/plumbing) and ability to interpret drawings

  • Experience using environmental monitoring and sampling equipment

  • Strong communication, organization, and technical report-writing skills; able to follow detailed instructions

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products

  • Flexibility for after-hours/rotational weekends; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel regionally (travel compensated)
