We are currently seeking a full-time Property Accountant to join our Accounting team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of their work, solving problems, and collaborating with others. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial reporting and accounting functions for a portfolio of condominium and residential properties while working closely with Property Managers, external auditors, and other members of our team.

Responsibilities:
Complete bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Prepare financial statements and various internal reports for Property Managers
Review and verify invoices and supporting documentation
Enter annual budgets into the accounting software system
Prepare balance sheets and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Coordinate the successful onboarding and integration of new properties into the accounting workflow
Provide financial guidance and support to Property Managers within your portfolio
Prepare and file quarterly government remittances
Assemble, merge and upload monthly financial statement packages to the company's online portal and electronic filing system
Manage the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of approximately 20-25 properties
Work directly with external auditors during annual audits
Meet multiple deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy within a demanding environment
Collaborate with members of the Accounting and Property Management teams to support efficient and accurate financial operations
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related filed
Previous property accounting experience; condominium or property management industry experience is considered a strong asset
Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service abilities
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently
