Job Description - QC Assembly Inspector

QC Assembly Inspector 

 

  • Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions

    In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku. 

 
We offer various shifts: 
Rotating Day Shift (continental) 
Monday to Thursday Nightshift 
Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) file Summary is not available for this job. 

  • DUTIES: 

Daily inspection of in process units: ensure sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in process inspections are of high quality 

Daily inspection of paperwork for all in process units and report any deficiencies to Quality Supervisor. 

Complete sub assembly inspections such as: motor, coil, evap., furnace, and paint.

Complete unit final inspections. 

Review inspection documents and make unit packages. 

Report any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator. 

Assist with education of other inspectors and production

team members.

Inspect drawings and marking/breaking work and ensure it is correct. 

Assist marking with Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submit to Quality Supervisor. 

Inspect all aspect of units with the appropriate forms from the beginning to the end and record all discrepancies. 

Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos. 

Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety

program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act,

Regulations, and Code. 

Other duties as . 

 

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:            

1. 1-3 years of QC experience in an organization that has an established quality program.  

 2. Carpentry, Electrical or Sheet Metal background an asset. 

 3. Certification or currently working towards certification. 

 4. Strong ability to read shop drawings.
