Position Summary:

The Receiver is responsible for the handling and processing of all incoming materials for the company.  This role works with other team members and departments to achieve “World Class Manufacturing” efficiency on all products and processes. This position is responsible and accountable for all assigned tasks. 

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Inspect all incoming shipments for apparent damages


• Accurately inspect, verify, label and process all receipts


• Develop and maintain receiving policies and procedures that meet ISO standards and Vecima customer service requirements


• Maintain accurate receiving records and files


• Reporting as required


• Physical lifting and movement of packages


• Use of pallet jack and/or Fork Lift


• Accurately pick and fulfill part requisitions as required


• Daily Cycle count as required


• Actively look for opportunities to improve processes through continuous improvement and best practices


• Represent the company in a positive manner in all interactions


• Assist with other duties as may be required


• Must be able to use all prescribed PPE to ensure employee safety

Position requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or GED


• Requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience


• A valid class 5 driver’s license is required


• Strong computer knowledge


• Great Plains (GP) knowledge


• Handles tasks from at least one more department without supervision


• Ability to lift and handle heavier items


• Operate a forklift (Forklift Operator Safety Training provided)
