Purpose:
Reporting to the Reliability Supervisor, the Fixed Reliability Technician is responsible for asset health, integrity, and reliability of fixed assets.
Responsibilities include:
Work alongside Long-Range Planner to audit & develop detailed PM documentation to ensure reliability of fixed assets
Provide guidance in the use of precision technologies (laser alignment, oil analysis) to Execution team members
Maintenance elimination activities through research and implementation of the best materials for the application
Centralize equipment manuals and documentation for fixed assets
Site-wide fixed lubrication program adherence
Predictive diagnostic analysis, evaluation, and recommendations
Vibration, thermography, and ultrasonic route completion
Create execution work orders based on PdM defect reporting
Perform RCFA’s for mechanical failures and recommend defect elimination projects
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years experience in a mining environment: ore processing crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, dewatering, leach/CIP, stripping, conveying and refining
MLT1, VCAT1, UT, NDT, or Thermography training preferred
Certified Journeyperson in good standing, or completed secondary education with diploma or degree in engineering or technical field preferred
Desktop computer literacy
Strong attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially-responsible manner
Self-directed team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
The Musselwhite gold mine in northwestern Ontario is a fly-in, fly‑out operations and the schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is CAD $140,400.00 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee
