Physiotherapist w/ Research Experience (Virtual Clinical Study)

Sidekick, an injury rehab products company, is running a fully virtual clinical study of a balance-training device for people recovering from ankle sprains. About 80 participants across Canada will complete a 28-day at-home program with virtual check-ins.

We are looking for a Principal Investigator. You will be responsible for the scientific and ethical conduct of the study: signing off on the protocol and REB submission, overseeing participant safety and adverse event reporting, and answering REB questions throughout. You will train the research assistants on the functional assessments and oversee their work with participants. A study coordinator and clinical trial consultant handle regulatory paperwork and data systems. You will be an author on the resulting publication.

• Licensed and in good standing as a physiotherapist or physician in Canada
• Prior experience as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on an REB-approved human-subject study
• Clinical or research background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Foot and ankle experience is a strong asset
• Current GCP certification, or willingness to complete it before REB submission (we cover the cost)
• Available 5 to 15 hours per week from October through study close, with heavier involvement during REB review and enrolment
• Reachable within one business day for safety and REB matters

• $90/hour
• Fully remote, part-time
• Authorship on a peer-reviewed publication
• Quick turnaround: aim for completion within 6 months
