This is a part-time (1 day per week) position, reporting to the Director of the HHS Knowledge Centre’s Knowledge Synthesis & Guidelines Development Program. The Research Support Librarian plays a key role in advancing the research mission of the HHS Knowledge Centre by providing expert information, evidence synthesis, and knowledge translation support across the research lifecycle. Working collaboratively with researchers, clinicians, trainees, and organizational partners, the role supports high quality, evidence informed research practices and facilitates the effective mobilization of research findings into practice, policy, and education.
Responsibilities include the following:
Temporary, part-time, 7.5 hours/week.
This position is temporary until July 2027.
This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work arrangement, in accordance with HHS’ Remote Work Policy.
The HHS Knowledge Centre was established to optimize the use of evidence from research and data at HHS and its regional community to improve outcomes and experiences for patients, health care providers and the health system. In addition, the HHS Knowledge Centre aims to foster a collaborative research community in Hamilton. The Knowledge Centre comprises three programs\: Knowledge Synthesis & Guidelines Development Program, Knowledge Mobilization & Research Program (Centre for Evidence-Based Implementation), and the Quality & Education Program.
