Dunnrite Food Products is seeking a Full-Time Retail Store Associate to support operations at the Factory Outlet. This role is responsible for assisting customers with poultry purchases, maintaining inventory, transferring products from the Plant, and ensuring a clean and organized retail environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, customer service, and basic computer skills.
Shift: Full time hours - flexible rotating shifts, morning or afternoon work including weekends
Responsibilities

- Creating and establishing strong, positive relationships with customers while understanding their needs.
- Maintaining a clean and organized Factory Outlet. With the requirement to do a full Factory Outlet clean quarterly.
- Maintaining proper Inventory at the Factory Outlet.
- Ordering Eggs from Sales when inventory is low.
- Ordering Fresh Product from the Plant and ensuring that all product ordered is accounted for and if not reporting this.
- Transfer fresh and frozen products daily from the Plant to the Factory Outlet, including lifting cases up to 25 kg from floor to shoulder height.
- Using sales abilities to push products when required.
- Receiving phone calls from customers, answering their questions, concerns, or placing their orders.
- Comfortable Using Microsoft office, retail point of sale equipment, reading scales and using a radio to communicate across departments.
- Familiarizing oneself with product item codes, weights, and pricing.
- Taking monetary payments for product sold and using the Moneris machine for Debit and Credit transaction.
- Cashing out at the end of the day, tallying up transactions, reconciling, and dropping monies into the safe for the Finance department.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 25KGs is required.
- “Food handling certificate” not required, but considered an asset.
- Experience in a sales role is an asset.
- Familiar with PC based software applications.
- Experience interacting with customers.
- Soft skills like organization, communication, and great attention to detail.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience in a customer service/sales role preferred
