Risk Management Team Member (Ski Patrol) - 2026/27 Season

Position Type: Seasonal Contract, Part-Time & Full-Time Positions Available
Hours of Work: Variable - Monday through Sunday, days and evenings (closed Tuesdays) – Holidays, as required
Location: Orono, Ontario
Reporting to: Ski Patrol Manager
Start Date: December 2026 (Training begins November 2026)

We are currently seeking outgoing, customer-focused team members to help us turn everyday visits into wonderful winter memories.

As part of our Risk Management team, you will play a key role in defining the customer's experience by providing primary treatment and responding to safety concerns, as well as contributing to the culture of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcoming all guests and sharing your knowledge about the resort


• Actively communicate safety rules and etiquette to minimize accidents and ensure a positive guest experience


• Providing primary treatment of injuries and illnesses to all patrons and staff 


• Conduct or assist with investigations for high threshold incidents when required


• Ensure high-level customer service, providing accurate and timely assistance to guests


• Ensuring safe and efficient patient transport


• Monitor trail conditions and mitigate hazards on hill to provide a safe environment for guests and staff
  


• Ensure that all patrol related equipment is properly maintained and ready for use


• Deliver support in the prevention/resolution of customer issues


• Accurate completion of all required documentation


• Ready to take on any challenge or help other team members when needed 
  

Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older


• Emergency First Responder/Emergency Medical Responder with CPR/AED level HCP certification of higher from a reputable provider (minimum 40 hour course)


• Ability to ski or snowboard competently in a variety of conditions (candidates may be required to pass an on-hill assessment)


• Applicants must possess their own skis or snowboard


• Demonstrated comfort with electronic reporting 


• Possess excellent critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills


• Self-motivated and customer satisfaction-oriented
  


• Willing to work in a variety of weather conditions
  


• Successful applicants 18+ years of age will be required to provide a successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, prior to the first day of work
