Seasonal Farm Laborer, Port Elgin

Cavendish Farms is looking for a SEASONAL Potato Harvest Laborers to join the Farm Team for a period of around 3-4 weeks, 10-12 hours per day. Expected start date is Mid September. The exact start date and period of work will be dependent on weather and business needs. 

Work location: 432 Hardy Rd, Timber River, NB, E4M 2L2
Bonus: a bonus of up to $2.5 per hour is available upon completion of the season. It is based on performance, attendance, and safety. 
 

• Assist with the grading of potatoes during the harvest season.


• Sort and classify potatoes based on size and quality.


• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operations.


• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.


• All other duties as assigned.
   

•    Safety and Quality focused.
•    Physically fit to stand for extended period of time.
•    High level of attention to detail.
•    Ability to work in close proximity to moving harvest equipment.
•    Farm experience is an asset.
•    Able to lift 50lbs regularly.
•    Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
•    Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends. The schedule can be up to 14 hours per day, working Saturdays and Sundays.
