Security Guard-Full time

We are seeking highly motivated security personnel to work at Automotive Site based in Brampton.
 

Position Overview:

Wages: $20.98 an hour

Status: Full time

Shift: Rotational (12 hours)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Issue hot work permits and/or standbys
• Conduct fire safety and equipment inspections per schedule – daily, weekly, monthly
• Maintain special fire protection systems, fire equipment and hydrants and spray booth detectors
• Open/close fire systems and test and maintain fire pump/systems
• Interface with insurance carriers and vendors
• Act as a First Responder in the event of a medical emergency.
• Performing regular audits of Fire equipment's, fire sprinkler, fire extinguishers.
• Performing Evacuation during fire drills and emergency situations.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization.
• Perform foot and vehicle patrols inside/outside the facility including gatehouse duties when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Security work experience with large scale industry.
• Must possess a valid Standard First Aid CPR-C with AED certificate
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, both days, nights and weekends
• Must be able to wear a hard hat – current construction zone.
• Valid G license with a clean driver's abstract. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
