Security Supervisor- Ancaster

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services. 

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Manage security reception/ access control


• Conduct internal and external patrol
  


• Prevention of theft, disorders and disturbance


• Incident management 


• Prepare site schedule and coordinate backfill coverage to ensure all shifts are fully staffed


• Providing visitors/contractor escort


• CCTV monitoring


• Emergency First Aid response


• Fire Safety Prevention


• Building Systems monitoring


• Alarm response
  


• Other duties as assigned by the Client

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma


• *MUST* Valid Ontario Security Guard License


• *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate


• The Vulnerable Sector Check must be completed and submitted prior to the start date.
  


• Strong computer skills


• The ability to stand/walk  for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols


• The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential

• Job Type: Full-Time 


• Hourly Rate of Pay: $21.42


• Hours of work: Monday-Friday 0745-1545


• Location: 777 Garner Rd E, Ancaster
