We are looking for a Senior Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) Officer to support our Corporate Secretariat Branch. The Senior Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) Officer would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The Senior ATIP Officer provides services in all areas related to the administration of the Access to Information and Privacy Acts and contributes to ensuring that the NRC meets its statutory obligations with relation to this legislation. As a key member of a small (7 person) ATIP team, the Senior ATIP Officer works closely with the ATIP Manager and Coordinator on all files, and liaises with internal and external parties to coordinate the effective completion of requests and resolution of issues.
The Senior ATIP Officer processes complex requests; develops and implements processes and procedures, prepares files and responds to complaints that emerge from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and the Office of the Information Commissioner; and works on a range of projects such as ATIP electronic case management system enhancements and training activities.
Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Formal training in ATIP legislation and policies would be considered an asset.

Secret Clearance
A thorough security clearance process will be applied.

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
