Job Description - Senior Captive Account Manager










This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Captive Account Manager based in Canada.


This role sits at the intersection of captive insurance management, financial reporting, and client advisory, supporting a diverse portfolio of captive insurance entities. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial and regulatory reporting while acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. The position requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external service providers to ensure captive programs operate smoothly and remain fully compliant. This is a highly collaborative, remote-friendly role suited for someone who thrives in structured yet dynamic financial environments. The opportunity also offers exposure to complex captive structures and continuous professional development in a specialized field.










Accountabilities:



  • Manage a portfolio of captive insurance clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation and regulatory reporting.

  • Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and external service providers to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee reporting cycles and ensure all deliverables are completed within strict deadlines and quality standards.

  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with stakeholders to support effective captive operations and issue resolution.

  • Monitor multiple competing priorities and ensure efficient portfolio management across assigned accounts.

  • Identify discrepancies, resolve reporting issues, and ensure accuracy and consistency in all financial documentation.

  • Support continuous improvement in reporting processes, tools, and client service delivery.


Requirements:



  • Prior experience in accounting, financial reporting, and/or captive insurance management.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis tools.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw accurate conclusions.

  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality of work.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.

  • Demonstrated adaptability, efficiency, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability in all aspects of work.

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and work independently.

  • Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to follow direction while contributing ideas for improvement.

  • Comfortable working remotely within Canada or the U.S.
