ROLE OVERVIEW
We’re looking for an Event Producer with a passion for large-scale, high quality B2B event experiences. As a B2B Event Producer at Salt XC, you will spearhead the planning and execution of live B2B events for our clients 
 
This role is for candidates with a passion for planning and logistics and an unwavering attention to detail. In this position, you'll be the linchpin of our event production team, where precision meets creativity. We're looking for an individual who thrives in meticulously orchestrating every aspect of event logistics, from the initial planning stages to the final execution and stage production. Your day-to-day will involve a delicate balance of managing complex timelines, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring every element is flawlessly executed. Beyond just logistical prowess, we seek a creative problem solver – someone who can think on their feet and provide innovative solutions to unexpected challenges. Your ability to blend methodical planning with creative thinking will not only be appreciated but celebrated as a vital component of our team's success in delivering extraordinary event experiences for Salt XC and our clients. 


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 



  • Lead the planning and execution of various live B2B events, including but not limited to conferences, seminars, product launches, and corporate gatherings 

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact during events, managing client requests and resolving operational issues effectively 

  • Coordinate all aspects of event production, including staffing, public safety, facility arrangements, and operational logistics 

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, alcohol management policies, customer service excellence, and labor management 

  • Prepare event venues in line with contract specifications and client expectations. 

  • Support in building and managing budgets through internal and external stakeholders 

  • Manage venue operations and act as the primary liaison with venue management teams to ensure all contractual, operational, and production requirements are executed seamlessly  

  • Develop and oversee complex load-in and load-out schedules, ensuring efficient coordination across production, staging, vendors, and venue stakeholders  

  • Coordinate and manage union labour vendor, including scheduling, staffing allocations, adherence to collective agreements, and on-site labour supervision  

  • Oversee back-of-house operations and production logistics to ensure efficient event flow, stakeholder communication, and operational excellence  

  • Ensure compliance with venue regulations, permitting requirements, insurance documentation, and operational safety standards for all vendors  

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to ensure the success of each event 


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum 6-8 years lived event production experience, or experience in a related discipline with B2B experience being considered an asset 

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and internal teams. 

  • Strong decision-making skills and capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlines. 

  • Flexibility to work an event-based schedule, including weekends, late nights, extended hours, and potentially extended workweeks. 

  • Proven experience managing venue operations for large-scale live events, conferences, exhibitions, or corporate experiences  

  • Strong understanding of complex event logistics, including load-in/load-out scheduling, dock management, freight coordination, and production timelines  

  • Experience working with unionized labour environments and managing labour crews within venue and production settings  

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple vendors, supplier relationships, and production partners simultaneously  

  • Familiarity with venue regulations, health and safety standards, and operational compliance requirements  

  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced live event environments while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders concurrently
