The Senior Manager, Off-Shelf Merchandising leads the strategic planning, execution, and performance optimization of the company’s Off-Shelf, Cross-Merchandising, and Event programs. This role partners closely with Merchants, Field Teams, IPR, and cross-functional 360° partners to deliver compelling, customer-focused merchandising that drives incremental sales, enhances the in-store experience, and maximizes space productivity. The position plays a critical role in connecting corporate strategy with field execution—ensuring assortments, events, and merchandising presentations are locally relevant, operationally efficient, and financially impactful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Partner with cross-functional (360°) teams and the Field to plan and execute Off-Shelf and Events programs that drive customer excitement, store engagement, and incremental sales.
  • Event & Comp Planning: Lead quarterly Off Shelf planning, including comp analysis, product selection, and sales forecasting to optimize performance across the Canadian Division.
  • Business Analytics: Leverage data and reporting to evaluate performance, identify trends, and recommend strategies to maximize productivity and profitability.
  • Post-Mortem Analysis: Conduct recaps and performance reviews to assess execution effectiveness, identify opportunities, and inform future planning cycles.
  • Merchant Enablement: Educate merchants and field partners on Merchandising principles, rules of engagement, planning tools, and program updates.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with merchants to proactively identify and resolve challenges such as SKU transitions, product availability, and supply chain constraints.
  • Communication & Documentation: Develop and distribute clear, concise communication documents summarizing Off-Shelf, Cross-Merchandising, and related merchandising direction for store execution.
  • Timeline Management: Define and oversee timelines, including merchant review cycles, 360° team milestones, and final proof approvals for all store-facing documents.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Build and maintain strong partnerships with IPR, MET, Visual, Marketing, Merchants and Field to ensure seamless program execution and alignment.
  • SKU & Supply Chain Oversight: Act as the central point for consolidating SKU updates, addressing supply chain concerns, and ensuring information accuracy across teams.
  • Innovation Centre Leadership: Partner with merchants and vendors to define quarterly Off Shelf; lead IC customer experience walks to align on merchant strategy, in-store presentation, and execution opportunities.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Support the Director of Field Merchandising on special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc priorities as required.


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Position reports to Director of Field Merchandising


Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:

  • Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
