Job Description - Senior Procurement Specialist - Corporate & Professional Services

As a Senior Procurement Specialist on our Supply Management team, you’ll lead end‑to‑end sourcing initiatives, manage key supplier relationships, and ensure strong contractual and commercial outcomes in our Corporate & Professional Services category. Your goal in this category is to manage a wide range of professional and consulting service providers and subject matter experts throughout our business. This includes those in Human Resources, Finance, Tax, Insurance, Customs, Internal Audit, Engineering, Environmental, Information Technology, and Strategy. Your success will depend on your ability to build strong partnerships and strategies with internal stakeholders and suppliers, negotiate mutually beneficial agreements and continuously improve procurement processes through data-driven insights and industry best practices.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute advanced category strategies that align with enterprise priorities and deliver long‑term value
  • Lead complex strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost optimization, innovation, and operational excellence
  • Oversee end‑to‑end contract lifecycle management, ensuring supplier performance, compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Optimize the procure‑to‑pay (P2P) process by identifying efficiency gaps, implementing controls, and driving continuous improvement
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, growth plans, and operational needs
  • Negotiate high‑value contracts to secure competitive commercial terms, protect organizational interests, and minimize exposure
  • Strengthen supplier relationship management programs, fostering collaboration, performance improvement, and strategic partnership
  • Ensure adherence to procurement governance, policies, and industry best practices across all sourcing activities

Your Skills:

  • Demonstrated organizational and analytical strengths that consistently drive measurable results
  • Proven ability to set clear objectives, monitor supplier performance, and leverage data for continuous improvement and informed decision‑making
  • Strong communication skills with experience in conflict resolution and building productive, long‑term stakeholder relationships
  • Skilled negotiator with leadership capabilities to effectively manage suppliers, contracts, and commercial outcomes
  • Solid understanding of end‑to‑end project execution and delivery requirements
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating supplier‑related risks to support supply chain resilience
  • Proactive approach to highlighting contract activities and dependencies that may influence project timelines or outcomes
  • Diplomatic, tactful, and professional in all interactions, with a commitment to maintaining positive working relationships
  • Adaptable and effective in fast‑paced, dynamic environments

Your Experience:

  • University Degree in Business or related field of study
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience within procurement roles
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or similar designation an asset
