This role sits at the core of a next-generation AI-driven platform that transforms massive volumes of enterprise data into actionable business intelligence. You will help build and evolve the foundational systems that connect business activities with meaningful context, enabling organizations to understand revenue signals, risks, and opportunities in real time. The environment is highly technical and research-oriented, combining backend engineering, data science, and machine learning at scale. You will work on distributed systems that process billions of signals and power intelligent matching and reasoning capabilities. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, with a strong emphasis on ownership from design to production. This is a high-impact position where your work directly contributes to the intelligence layer behind enterprise decision-making.
Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems and data-driven services that power matching and reasoning across large-scale enterprise datasets.
- Design and implement core backend services, data pipelines, and microservices supporting matching and contextual intelligence
- Conduct data-driven research and analysis using large-scale datasets and data science tools
- Develop and optimize algorithms for matching business activities with relevant contextual signals
- Ensure production-grade reliability through robust testing, monitoring, alerting, and operational documentation
- Build efficient, scalable systems with strong focus on performance, cost optimization, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and deliver new product capabilities
- Contribute to engineering best practices including system design, code quality, and operational excellence
Requirements:
You are a senior backend engineer with strong experience in distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and data-driven problem solving, ideally with exposure to ML or AI-powered systems.
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering within enterprise or large-scale systems
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or machine learning-related work
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala
- Solid understanding of microservices, SOA, and event-driven architectures
- Experience working with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Spark
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database systems
- Experience with distributed system components such as message brokers, caching systems, NoSQL, and key-value stores
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies including TDD, unit testing, and automated testing
- Experience with AI/ML development tools or LLM-based systems is a strong plus
- Strong analytical thinking, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently in complex environments
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams
