We are currently hiring a ServiceNow Enterprise Architect - Security Clearance for our consulting client, working on a long term contract with a Canadian Federal Government Entity

Type: Federal Government Contract

Rate Range: $120-130/hr C2C (37.5 hrs /week)

Duration: 12 months

Location: Onsite, downtown Ottawa, ON, Canada

Role Overview 

OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Enterprise Architect to lead the design, governance, and implementation of a ServiceNow CMDB and Security Operations transformation initiative. This role will provide technical leadership, establish platform standards, ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices, and guide the organization through the implementation of CMDB and Security Operations capabilities.The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while preserving platform integrity, upgradability, and alignment with Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) ServiceNow capabilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesPhase 1: CMDB Foundation (Primary Focus)

• Assess current-state infrastructure, asset repositories, and data sources.
• Define and implement CMDB architecture, data models, and governance frameworks.
• Design Configuration Item (CI) class hierarchies and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) alignment.
• Establish Identification and Reconciliation Rules (IRE/IRR) and data certification processes.
• Architect ServiceNow Discovery solutions, including MID Server strategy and credential management.
• Design CMDB health dashboards to measure completeness, correctness, compliance, and data quality.
• Lead business service mapping initiatives and establish relationships between services and underlying infrastructure.
• Oversee the setup of demonstration and testing environments for proof-of-concept activities.

Phase 2: Security Operations Enablement

• Validate CMDB maturity and readiness for Security Operations implementation.
• Lead architectural design and implementation of ServiceNow Security Operations modules, including Vulnerability Response and Incident Response.
• Design integrations with third-party security tools such as vulnerability scanners and SIEM platforms.
• Define automated workflows, routing rules, assignment groups, and SLA frameworks for security incidents.
• Ensure integration and data models align with enterprise cybersecurity objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of ServiceNow enterprise architecture experience.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – CMDB certification.
• CIS – Security Operations (SecOps) or CIS – Vulnerability Response certification.
• Advanced knowledge of:
  • Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
  • ServiceNow Discovery
  • CMDB architecture and governance
  • Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
  • Service Mapping
  • Platform integrations and API architecture
• Experience developing enterprise-level governance frameworks and technical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading CMDB transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity operations.
• Experience integrating security monitoring, vulnerability management, and SIEM solutions into ServiceNow.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
