Role Overview:As a Sidewalk Shoveling Crew Team Leader, you will be on-call 24/7 during the winter season to ensure commercial sidewalks and walkways are clear of snow and ice. Your role involves driving and leading a team in snow removal tasks, operating snowblowers and other equipment, and ensuring all work meets high-quality standards. Your leadership, physical fitness, and ability to work in challenging conditions are essential.
To Excel in This Role, YOU ARE:
Experienced:Have prior experience in both hands-on snow removal and leadership, with the ability to guide and motivate your team.
Licensed:Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, capable of driving a company vehicle to transport the crew.
Leadership-Oriented:Manage, direct, and work alongside a team, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
Physically Fit:Perform the same demanding physical work as your crew, including shoveling snow and operating equipment.
Flexible and Resilient:Available 24/7 and prepared to work in challenging winter conditions.

Job Responsibilities:
Hands-On Snow Removal and Leadership:Work alongside your crew, shoveling snow, operating snowblowers, and applying salt. Lead the team, ensuring all members work efficiently and effectively.
Quality Assurance and Standards:Oversee the quality of work, ensuring all tasks meet company standards. Perform regular checks and address any areas needing additional attention.
Safety and Compliance:Ensure adherence to safety protocols, proper gear use, and safe equipment operation. Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and mitigating hazards.
Communication and Reporting:Maintain clear communication with your crew and supervisors. Provide updates on progress and report any issues promptly.
On-Call Availability and Preparedness:Be available 24/7 for the winter season, ready to lead and work with the crew when needed. Ensure preparedness for potentially long shifts.
Job Type:Part-time, seasonal
Schedule:On-call during the winter season, with weekends as needed.
Experience Required:
3+ years in snow removal
2+ years in a leadership role
Experience with snowblowers, snowrators salt application, and other snow removal equipment
