Site Superintendent - ICI

Seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to join our client's Vaughan based organization. This is a unique opportunity to join a company with a diversified background in industrial, commercial, institutional, retail and residential building. This individual will be responsible for the supervision of all construction activities that take place on the work site ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, trade contractors, inspectors and regulatory agencies to prepare  and execute project plans.
  


• Must have extensive ICI experience.
  


• TTC experience an asset.
  


• Supervise and direct all staff and sub trades assigned to project.
  


• Ensure efficient use of labour, machinery and materials.
  


• Advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing\resolving such conflicts.
  


• Maintain the project’s Daily Reports.
  


• Ensure compliance with the company’s health & safety requirements and all record keeping requirements in maintaining a safe workplace.
  


• Ability to travel to site and off-site locations as required.
  

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

·         Post-secondary education in construction related field is an asset.

·         Gold Seal Certified as an asset

·         Experience with the IHSA COR certification program

·         10+ years’ experience working as a construction site superintendent

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

·         Solid computer skills required

·         Must possess strong time management skills and be self-motivated

·         Ability to work flexible hours as the project schedule demands

·         Ability to work well under pressure

·         Ability to work with people professionally at all times.
