About Us

Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. Utilities around the world rely on our nuclear fuel products to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco’s corporate office is based in Saskatoon. We have mining operations and projects in northern Saskatchewan, Kazakhstan, the United States and Australia. We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.

The Role

Reporting to the manager, procurement process, this role supports the strategic initiative of development, improvement, and maintenance of procurement-related business processes to ensure consistent and efficient operations across the organization. You will work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders to examine data, document processes, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate initiatives that support effective decision-making and overall business performance.

This is an 18-month temporary position.

In this role, you will:

• support the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of procurement-to-pay (P2P) processes used across Cameco’s Canadian operations in alignment with process-based management methodology.


• use and lead various analytical tools and methods, such as data analysis and root cause investigation, to identify opportunities and implement solutions for increased process efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.


• develop and maintain process maps, process documentation, and related resources to support business objectives and end-user adoption.


• facilitate workshops and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address challenges, document requirements, validate process or solution design, and ensure alignment between business objectives and process outcomes. 


• navigate and build consensus among cross functional teams and stakeholders to reach mutually beneficial outcomes and end-user adoption.


• provide subject matter expertise and guidance on P2P processes, practices, and improvements.


• support data-driven decision making by preparing reports, monitoring key performance indicators or key behavior indicators, and communicating process-related information to a variety of internal audiences.
  
  

Required:  

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field;


• Minimum five years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, and/or supply chain process improvement;


• Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;


• High level of computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP software;


• Strong experience with process mapping, workflows, analytical tools, or process management tools (e.g., Signavio, Visio, lean, etc.).


• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Recommended:

• SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional), designation; and


• Previous procurement experience at an industrial or mining environment.

Conditions of Employment:

This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 18-months.

You will have the opportunity to work remote in this position. However, there will be the need for intermittent meetings in the Saskatoon office or travel to site as required. The details of this flex work arrangement will be discussed with you in the recruitment process.

Salary Range: $93,000 - $129,000
