Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a Store Manager for our Drydenstore located at 60 Van Horne Ave.
As a Store Manager you will be responsible for leading your store and building a culture in which your team can thrive. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the store, drive sales through coaching and leadership, and ensure a positive guest experience from the moment a guest enters the store to the time their product is delivered to them, and beyond!
This position is being posted to fill an immediate staffing need within the department. We are actively seeking qualified candidates who can step into the role and contribute to the team as soon as possible.

As a Store Manager you will:
Lead your store and drive success by training, coaching and developing team members within all areas of the store - sales, administration, visual presentation and warehouse
Create and maintain a work environment that builds employee engagement
Achieve goals and KPIs (including EBT, cost control and budgets)
Be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, monthly & weekly reporting and diligent review of P&L
Direct the implementation of corporate sales and marketing programs
Gain a solid understanding of the local market through community involvement
Ensure customer concerns are addressed effectively and promptly
Ensure completion/assistance with quarterly inventory counts
Ensure all Loss Prevention policies and procedures are followed and enforced
As a successful candidate you will have the following:
Post-secondary education with 3+ years’ experience in retail sales or hospitality management
Proven sales ability/experience
Proven track record of building and coaching high performance teams and strong work relationships
Strong self-management abilities with a sense of urgency
Ability to handle difficult and/or intense situations diplomatically and professionally
Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products & ability to learn in-house computer programs
Ability to work retail hours (including days, evenings, every weekend, and holidays)
