The Supervisor, Women’s Outreach provides leadership and oversight to the Women’s Outreach team at UGM, supporting staff in building meaningful relationships and providing compassionate, effective care to women in the community. This role focuses on fostering a healthy, collaborative team culture while ensuring outreach services are delivered with dignity, respect, and consistency.
Responsibilities include providing day-to-day leadership to the outreach team, supporting staff, volunteers, and practicum students, and overseeing community-based programs and services, including food bank support. The Supervisor will help ensure women are connected to practical resources, community supports, and other services based on their individual needs.
Working closely with the Manager, Community Services, the Supervisor will contribute to outreach initiatives, build relationships with internal and external partners, and support effective service delivery. The role also provides spiritual mentorship and models Christlike leadership, ensuring that outreach practices align with UGM’s mission, vision, and core values.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time Position (37.5 hours per week). Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm. The starting wage range for this position is $31.92 to $34.88 per hour.

Working Conditions
Work is generally performed indoors, with up to 30% of the time spent outdoors in all types of weather.
Duties require extended periods of standing and/ or walking. Duties require occasional periods of climbing, pulling/pushing items, lifting/carrying items, keyboarding, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees are required to look at a computer screen for up to 50% of the time. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
The working environment is generally favourable. Lighting and temperature are adequate. Work is performed amid normal conditions of dust, odours, fumes, and noises. Regular environmental exposure to cold, heat, and water. This position requires working in an environment that often deals with clients in crisis situations brought about by diverse problems. The ability to function independently and frequently under pressure while managing multiple concurrent tasks, including emergency situations, is an ongoing expectation of this position.
Some work on scheduled days off may be required. Moderate overtime may be required. Work on statutory holidays is required. At least one evening shift is required weekly. Some weekend shifts will be required.
Job requires frequent interaction with the public some of whom may be upset, abusive, and/or violent. Job requires working frequently with people in unhealthy conditions and may include exposure to bodily fluids, lice, bedbugs, and other pests. The employee is required to hear information about clients’ lives, which may be troubling or upsetting and may cause emotional issues, including vicarious trauma.
Due to the nature of the job, and our commitment to a safe environment, the candidate is subject to a criminal record check and must submit a current Driver’s Abstract.
