1. Grade 12 or equivalent
2. Demonstrated computer skills
3. Practical experience in Hospital Materials Management computer data information system
4. Knowledge of Stores inventory systems
5. Good communication (written and oral) and organizational skills
6. Bar coding knowledge an asset
The Supply Chain Logistics Portfolio provides integrated six-site supplies distribution and transportation support for the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, the Hamilton General Hospital, McMaster Children’s Hospital, St. Peter’s
Hospital and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Primary functions of the logistics program include Just-In-Time supply
inventory management, inter-hospital transport, mail and courier services. The program works closely with GPO’s and other strategic procurement and supply chain alliances.
The Supply Aide is responsible for maintaining adequate Just-In-Time stock in all clinical areas, surveying inventory items and distributing those supplies appropriately; acting as a liaison between Materials Management and the user areas, replenishing stock as required.
