Technical Architect - Institutional + Residential

Description of the company:

An established architecture practice with a well-known presence in Toronto. Their work covers institutional and residential projects, and they've built their reputation on technically strong, design-led buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Detailing and documentation across projects, working alongside the project architects and the rest of the team


• Building and coordinating construction document sets, keeping them in line with the relevant codes, standards, and specs


• Coordinating closely with engineering consultants as projects move along


• Producing models and drawings in Revit and other software


• Other tasks as projects call for them

Must-haves:

• At least 8 years of architectural experience with broad exposure across project types


• A degree in architecture, architectural engineering, or architectural technology


• Advanced, hands-on Revit skills


• Solid grounding in high-performance building envelopes


• A track record producing design and construction documents on institutional and residential work


• Strong written and verbal communication, good organization, and the ability to juggle a few things at once in a busy office


• A real drive for technical quality and clean contract documents in a BIM environment


• Works well on a team

Nice-to-haves:

• Contract administration experience

Work style: 4, sometimes 5 days in office

Compensation: $90k  - $130k
